LETTERSHOP SERVICES - Labeling Cheshire Cheshire labels are printed on continuous-feed computer paper. Our equipment then cuts the paper into individual labels, adds glue, and applies it to the mailpiece. This type of label is often used where inkjetting fails due to media type or paper coloration that may interfere with automated/barcoded processing. A variation of the Cheshire label is the piggyback label. This allows the recipient to peel off the label and re-apply it on another piece; it is commonly used in "Please affix your mailing label here" applications. Pressure Sensitive & Cut-Sheet (Desktop Inkjet/Laser/Copier) The old standby. Pressure sensitive labels are premanufactured labels with an adhesive backing. They stick to virtually everything and are most often used in situations where inkjeting and Cheshire labeling are not viable options. Requiring manual application, cut-sheet labels incur higher expense, but offer a creative look. |
